1. National Identity Number Registration is Free - NIMC
Mr Loveday Ogbonna, Head, Corporate Communications, National Identity Management Commission, says registration for the National Identity Number is free.
Ogbonna, who made this known in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria on Friday in Abuja, said that the commission has never charge anyone for NIN registration.
2. Police vacated Akwa Ibom Housa of Assembly
The Police on Friday ended their siege on the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly.
All entrances to the complex which had been barricaded since Tuesday morning are now open.
3. Oil theft, sea piracy has reduced in Niger Delta
Rear Adm. David Adeniran, the Flag Officer Commanding Eastern Naval Command, Calabar, on Friday said that oil theft and sea piracy have reduced drastically in the Niger Delta region.
Adeniran said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria on board Nigerian Navy Ship Okpabana in Calabar.
4. June 12 as Democracy day bill passes second reading 
A bill for an Act to amend the Public Holidays Act to declare June 12 as Democracy Day in Nigeria has passed the second reading at the House of Representatives. The bill was jointly sponsored by Rep. Edward Pwajok and Rep. Kayode Oladele who seeks to bring the Act in conjunction with the  current realities of the modern times.
Pwajok said if the bill passed into law, subsequently 12th of June will become public holidays to commemorate Democracy Day. 
He said May 29 would be celebrated every fourth year when there is an inauguration of a new president.
In his ruling, the hon. Speaker of the House, Mr. Yakubu Dogara forwardedthe bill to the committee of the whole for further legislative actions.
